Miss 'M' turns 6 months | Family Session | Mommy & Me

Let me introduce you to one of my best friends. I've known this beautiful woman for 13 years. This started off as a session for just Miss 'M'; however, I told her I wanted to get some shots with her as well. She was hesitant at first but I encouraged her and told her from my own experience, she won't ever regret getting in them.

'Momming' is hard. Like really hard. Some days are amazing and you feel like you really have your act together and then the next day, you're wanting to lock yourself in the bathroom and cry until your husband comes home. Trust me on the second part. It's not all rainbows and butterflies but in the 'mom-world' it is so incredibly important to find your tribe. Because on those incredibly tough days, your mom friends will be the ones who will sympathize with you the most. They are the ones to talk you off the ledge and who will send you videos and photos of their current 'storm.' They will make you laugh, when all you want to do is cry. They will lift you up, when you need it the most. They will tell you that you're beautiful when you're not feeling that way.

This woman is part of my tribe and honestly, I don't know how I made it through life without her, prior to these past 13 years. Seriously. She's my life line. She's strong, compassionate, and will complain ride along side of me. She never passes judgement. Ever. And best of all...she gets me. Like REALLY gets me.

Our oldest sons are 6 months apart and our youngest babies are only 5 days apart. Her original due date was 10/2, mine was 10/7. We joked about being in the hospital at the same time; however, both our babies had plans of their own (as babies usually do). Even though both our children came early, they were still only 5 days apart.

J - this is a message to you, my sweet friend. No matter how hard the days are. No matter how frustrated you may get. Remember this -- you're killing it. You really are. I know you're in survival mode these days; however, just know you are the perfect mom to both 'B' & 'M' and we are all so incredibly blessed to have such a beautiful and warm soul in our lives.
