J & C | General Session | Couples

"A soulmate is the one person whose love is powerful enough to motivate you to meet your soul to do the emotional work of self-discovery of awakening."

It was a beautiful Saturday night on the water. It's crazy how refreshing salty air feels against the skin, when it's been so hot outside.

I love the beach. It's so incredibly soothing for the soul. The sounds of the water, seagulls, and the feeling of the white powdery sand between my toes.

This session was a quick one. I was kind of nervous, since they were running so late and literally made it to the beach with 5 minutes to spare of what was left of the sunset but I was determined to make this happen. I'm a chaser of light, so to speak, especially since I'm a natural light photographer. I have never shot in such low light without my external flash but I was willing to push the limits of my camera and we were able to create some pretty artistic shots.

Since they missed sunset, I decided to do some multiple exposure shots for them. This is a technique I LOVE playing around with in my camera. With a good eye, some patience, and some post processing tweaking, I was able to create images of them with the amazing part of the sunset that they missed.

J & C showed up ready to dive right in! The lighting was perfect and the clouds were a yummy shade of this cotton candy pink. It was truly perfect. These two were so incredibly sweet and even though we were so short on time, they were amazing sports about it. See, normally, I would reschedule; however, this was a free session that J won a couple months back and we had already rescheduled once due to inclement weather. So, needless to say, I wanted to try to avoid another reschedule. I am so glad we just went with the flow because the shots that we were able to achieve were waiting for!
